Breaking News: NEW Maritime Cyber Incident Simulation Available

MSS Alliance CIC (the Maritime Safety and Security Alliance) and IARCC.org (The International Association of Risk and Crisis Communication) have teamed up to develop immersive cyber incident simulations for the maritime sector.

The fully immersive simulation is a bit like a multiplayer video game allowing functional leaders within port or shipping firms to play a variety of functional roles with a scenario simultaneously.

The fully immersive simulations test their situational awareness and their ability to cope under pressure as well as their ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

"Invest in preparedness, not in prediction..."
Risk management guru, Nassim Taleb.

If investment firms could actually predict how stocks will perform, then they'd provide guaranteed returns.
If sports pundits could actually predict sports results, then bookies would not be taking bets.
And if cybersecurity firms could predict cyberattacks, then we'd all be secure.

In reality, it’s impossible to pinpoint when the next crisis might hit or what form it’ll take. If organisations could predict or anticipate the timing and nature of cyberattacks then prevention would be easy. Likewise, if organisations had previously experienced a disruption of this nature, then they’d know exactly how to respond. The problem is that by the time you are experiencing an incident, the cyberattacks will inevitably have already succeeded in evading all your cybersecurity prevention and detection measures.

This is when your preparedness and your ability to respond under pressure will really be put to the test.
We provide workshops and training that ensure that you are as well prepared as possible.
